I spend my lunch hour at Glacier Ridge Metro Park today, hoping to see
the Marbled Godwit. When I got there, a gentleman informed me that two
other fellows had seen it just before he had arrived, around 12pm. The
godwit did not make an appearance between 12:15 and 1:15 pm, although
the Virginia Rail was quite obliging. Shorebirds present included
several Solitary Sandpipers, Semipalmated Sandpipers, Pectoral
Sandpipers, about 50 Killdeer, and one Semipalmated Plover. Three Green
Herons were also hanging around.
