My dad and I went down to see if we could refind the Wood Storks seen earlier this morning in Coshocton County.  We got down there to find three amish kids also looking for the birds.  At about 7:30 a single wood stork flew in from the west and landed high in a tree directly above our head directly across the road from the v-shaped pond Bruce Glick describes in his earlier post.  The bird sat there and basically posed for us to veiw it until we left a half an hour later.  Of course I had left the camera at home (probably why the bird decided to show up).  It is a beautiful juvenile bird and very much worth the drive to go see!  My theory is that it may be roosting in the area around the v-shaped pond and is feeding throughout the surrounding area, seeing as it was found early this morning and late this evening.  Chances might be best in the mornings and evenings although it is truly hard to tell.  Be sure to check both sides of the road and high
in the trees, otherwise it may be a tough bird to see.

Good Birding!
