Wednesday August 26 - Sightings at the mudflat area near the Park Office included Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Caspian Tern (adult & imm.), Green Heron, Black-crowned Night Heron (imm.), Belted Kingfisher, Least Sandpiper, Killdeers, Ring-billed Gulls, Bonaparte's Gull (imm.), Mallards, Wood Duck, Turkey Vultures, American Crows (imm.) ,and a few other common birds.
I took pictures over a three hour period from my car and they appear at www.pbase.com/nsxbirder/Hueston_Woods.
Posting is new for me and if it works ok, I'll post more unusual sightings on a more timely basis.??
