We arrived at the "stork pond" at 5:00 this evening.  There were  already
about 4 or 5 cars there, everyone waiting patiently (or maybe not so  much).  At
about 5:30, 1 stork flew in from the west & landed in the  back east corner.
About 15 minutes later, a 2nd stork flew in & joined  him.  They both just
seemed to rest there for some time.  After a  little bit, the resident Great Blue
Heron seemed to be unhappy with their  presence & chased them around some.
Maybe he just wanted that corner  because the storks then began foraging in the
rest of the pond & the heron  left them alone.  When we left at 6:30, the 3rd
stork had not  appeared.

We talked to people from as far away as Cleveland, Pittsburg, & West
Virginia.  We only had to drive about 1 1/2 hours.  Others drove 3 hrs  or more.
