As of last evening (Friday August 29th), three woodstorks were chowing down
on a number of large fish from the pond. We arrived around 6:30pm and
stayed til 7:30 pm when the mosquitoes got the better of us . Drive time
from Medina was 1.5 hours. The woodstorks were actively feeding and ignoring
all of us bystanders.

We were wondering if anyone ever noticed the behavior being exhibited - when
they are fishing as they turn, they extend their wind over the water, and as
they make the turn they retract the wing. Some birders thought it was
similar to what the reddish egret does with their 'dance' but it was really
quite different. Another thought we had was that they may be shading the
area to get a better look and to reduce the glare on the surface of the
water.
