This morning two Caspian Terns (one a juvenile) flew around and rested on the Caesar Creek beach. The small pond near the observation platform has been drawn down and one Solitary Sandpiper was really enjoying it. That pond has always been reliable for Solitaries and at times attracted other shorebirds. Six Killdeer on the beach and two more on the pond may also be migrants.
Happy Birder Cheers, Larry Gara Wilmington
