I took a few hours yesterday morning to check on migration and mudflats up at the north end of Hoover Reservoir. I visited Mudhen Marsh, Oxbow Island, Char-Mar Preserve, Wiese Rd. and the Boardwalk area. As mentioned by Charlie Bombaci, the mudflats are starting to peek out in the far northern reaches. Wiese Road & Oxbow Island have very little, but the Boardwalk area is starting to show a 3-6 m fringe of mud, and was hosting many of the shorebirds Charlie mentioned. The area is also starting to funnel landbird migrants, and Oxbow Island and Wiese Rd bear watching over the next 2 weeks for this. Highlights included:

Herons - Great Blues scattered in many locations; the not-to-shallow water is optimal for them now. Four Great Egrets were off the Boardwalk in Galena Bay, while Green Herons were both there and at the pond in Char-Mar Preserve.

Shorebirds - most of the same species mentioned by Charlie, with the best spot being a mudbar east of the Boardwalk.

Raptors - another immature Broad-winged Hawk was found, this one on Oxbow Island. 2 Osprey were still hanging around the nest platform off the Boardwalk.

Flycatchers - no big numbers anywhere, but 1-2 Pewees, Phoebes, Crested Flycatchers, and E.Kingbirds over the course of the morning.

Swallows - small Barn Swallow flocks at several locations. Single Purple Martins were over Oxbow Island, Wiese rd, and the Boardwalk.

Gnatcatchers - 5 were out on Oxbow Island, where they don't nest, and were likely migrants.

Mimids - Oxbow and Wiese had good #s of Catbirds (5-6 ea), while a Brown Thrasher was also at Oxbow

Warblers - still largely AWOL, with the only notable being a singing Parula at Area N near the base of the Boardwalk. Since they nest in the vicinity, this could have been a resident.
