Within the hour a pair of sandhill cranes was seen by John Watts in a
wetland along Schleppi Rd in Plain Twp in NE Franklin Co (just east of
Hoover Res). They are on private land, but visible from the road. Pretty
unusual for this time of year away from breeding grounds.
