one or two little gulls have been among the hordes of bonaparte's gulls at the west end of headlands beach state park beach yesterday (09/19/2008) and today. one bird is an adult in winter plumage and the other bird's underwings are not as black as the adults. it's best to search for the little gulls when they are flying about and their underwings can be seen.
