About noon today (Saturday) we saw this very light colored hawk as we drove
through the Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area in the town of Everett.
We turned around and my son got off a few quick pictures from the car which
I posted at http://picasaweb.google.com/mvalencic/ZebraHawK#
<http://picasaweb.google.com/mvalencic/ZebraHawK> . We realize that these
pictures are just a step above "Bigfoot" detail, but it's what we have to
work with. I think it is a Red-tailed Hawk based on what appears to be a
belly band and the single, solid color tail feather (in the shots showing
the bird ready to land).

Other options might be the worlds biggest Black and White Warbler or a
totally new species we can call "Zebra Hawk".

I would appreciate any input from those-in-the-know.

It was on the east side of Riverview Road, just a few hundred yards north of
the last house in Everett. See the map feature included with the Picasa
album for the exact location.

Regards,
