An adult WILSON'S PHALAROPE dropped in at Lorain Impoundment late this morning and was still there when I left ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/28939750@N05/ ). It was accompanied by: Black-bellied Plover, Semipalmated Plover (8), Killdeer (25), Solitary Sandpiper (3), Sanderling, Least Sandpiper, Pectoral Sandpiper, and Dunlin. Songbirds were relatively scarce, but hundreds of Chimney Swifts were moving along the lake, and six Sora were present.

Earlier, I stopped at Richfield Coliseum, with nothing terribly exciting to report, and Jaite (Riverview & Vaughn Rds, CVNP). Nelson's Sharp-tailed is a possibility at Jaite, there is plenty of smartweed and the marsh is dry so access is easy. Three Marsh Wrens, 50 Swamp Sparrows, and 5 Bobolink had to suffice today.
