Hello Birders,
I took a comp day and visited the Coyote Run trail at Highbanks Metro Park this morning.
While making my way through the first meadow near Powell Road and 23 I noticed something
yellow fly to a tree about 200-250 feet away. I could tell it was a warbler through the
binoculars but could not see any good field marks. Figuring on making an ID back at the
house I shouldered my camera and shot a few documentary images. I thought nothing more
of it for the duration of the morning.
Now that I have the images in front of me and the Sibley's in my hand, I'm feeling a bit
more excitement. I know that the date and probability favor a Nashville but I'll be darned
if that chest just doesn't look bright enough. Dare I say it, could it possibly be????
Have a look for yourself, I would love to hear the opinion of those more experienced than I.
