Kevin,

This does indeed look like a Connecticut Warbler to me, though the date
isn't all that unusual as there are some that pass through the Great Lakes
during the last week in September. There are even very early October
records.

Every day, the hummingbird eats its own weight in food.
You may wonder how it weighs the food.
It doesn't. It just eats another hummingbird.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Highbanks Metro Park - Mystery warbler, Nashville
or.............

Hello Birders,

I took a comp day and visited the Coyote Run trail at Highbanks Metro Park
this morning.
While making my way through the first meadow near Powell Road and 23 I
noticed something
yellow fly to a tree about 200-250 feet away. I could tell it was a warbler
through the
binoculars but could not see any good field marks. Figuring on making an ID
back at the
house I shouldered my camera and shot a few documentary images. I thought
nothing more
of it for the duration of the morning.

Now that I have the images in front of me and the Sibley's in my hand, I'm
feeling a bit
more excitement. I know that the date and probability favor a Nashville but
I'll be darned
if that chest just doesn't look bright enough. Dare I say it, could it
possibly be????

Have a look for yourself, I would love to hear the opinion of those more
experienced than I.
