We were able to visit the Conneaut sandspit area today for a couple of hours this morning. It spit rain off and on and we had one rainbow. The usual hotspot sedge area is completely dry.
During our stay we had the company of seven other birders from Ohio and Pennsylvania. 38 species were recorded. Here are the highlights:

Black-crowned Night-Heron 3 (1 adult, 2 juveniles)
Green Heron 3 ( all juveniles)
Black-bellied Plover 6 ( 1 near breeding plumage, 5 juvs)
Semipalmated Plover 15+
Lesser Yellowlegs 13+
Greater Yellowlegs 1
Spotted Sandpiper 3 ( all on breakwall)
Sanderling 19+
Semipalmated Sandpiper 2
Least Sandpiper 12+
Baird's Sandpiper 1
Buff-breasted Sandpiper 1 ( seen by Bob Krajeski at 8AM)
Caspian Tern 6 ( 5 adults, 1 juvenile)
Black Tern 1 juvenile
