I have had nighthawks mixed with swifts over the Hayden Falls area for the
last week.  Small numbers, 6-12.  I am heartened to hear of the larger
flocks being seen.  The nighthawks are probably recovering in numbers as
the crow population has been thinned over the past years by west-Nile
virus, crows being a major predator on nighthawk nests.
