Tomorrow will be the 2-week mark of my last hummingbird sighting here. :~(
And this morning we had 2 adult white-crowned sparrows foraging in the flower bed under my bedroom window.
My son remembers them as "the birds with racing stripes on their heads". LOL
The sparrow activity has definitely increased here this week, and we've had at least one Great Horned Owl in the woods behind our house for the last three weeks.
Oh well, I guess increased birding opportunity is a fair trade for cooler weather! :~)
Happy birding, all!
