I wanted to go back down to Evans L. and Pine L. today to look through the gulls more thoroughly than I could yesterday.  This turned out to be a good idea, because while the gulls had deserted Pine L. there were many at Evans L.  The tally was 700 ring-billed gulls, 50 herring gulls, and 1 LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL.  I would say it was a bird entering it's 4th winter, adult-looking except for reduced white in the primary tips.  I had great views of it at the dam in late afternoon.  There are only a couple other records for Mahoning Co.
