We visited the sandspit area today from 2:30 to 3:30 PM.
It was extremely windy with very rough conditions. Waves were lapping high over the breakwall!
Note: You are at great risk of getting stuck on the way in, and out in soft wind blown sand; between the breakwall and the sandspit.
     Here are the birding highlights:

Great Egret 1
Green-winged Teal 3
American/Eurasion Widgeon hybrid (1 male) ?
Greater Scaup 1 female (Our old friend?)

Semi-palmated Plover 5
Black-bellied Plover 1
Golden-Plover 2
Greater Yellowlegs 2
Sanderling 4
Pectoral Sandpiper 1
