Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve, Mentor, 10:15-11:30 a.m.
Observers: Delores Cole & Paula Lozano

As we pulled into the parking lot, a merlin flew overhead. Later it was
relocated (and photographed by Delores) perched at the top of a dead tree on the
north side of the entrance road. Birds seen along the trail included
double-digit numbers of both kinglets and yellow-rumped warblers. A mature bald eagle
was spotted flying east to west along the shoreline. Ray Hannikman reported
a late red-eyed vireo, too.

North Marginal, Burke Lakefront Airport, Cleveland, 4:30-4:30 p.m.
Observer: Paula Lozano

American kestrel - 2, east end of airport
Killdeer - 44, most near Gate 11
