Well, I am tired of Yellow-rumped Warblers so I decided after reading John Pogacnik's Lake County waterbird survey yesterday I better get over to Sims Park in Euclid and look for birds with the scope. At first all I could find straight out were some gulls and cormorants. But after going down to the pier and looking east I found ducks. Here is what I saw:
Sims Park 8:30 to 9:15am, lake smooth, east or ENE winds, sunny, 35-39 deg
Wood Ducks - 9
Lesser Scaup - 3 females (I assume not greater)
Surf Scoters - 6 females
Black Scoters - 2
Red-breasted Merganser 1
many Canada Geese
