Went to the lake after work this evening. There was one Common Loon on
the lake off of Harveysburg Road. On the beach there were three
Bonaparte Gulls, including one first winter bird. There was also a
Long-Billed Dowitcher next to the gulls.

I went to the pine grove across from the park office to look for
saw-whets with no success. There was a Wild Turkey that took off from
some garlic mustard about 10 feet in front of me while I was looking up
in a pine tree for owls. Nearly made my heart stop!
