I found Pine siskins at several locations around this village along Darby Creek in far SW Franklin County. I also had one further upstream, near the main part of Battelle-Darby Creek Metropark (near Georgesville). The area also has plenty of flocks of Robins and sparrows. I had 10 species of sparrow along the new Darby Creek Greenway Trail north of the Cedar Ridge part of the MetroPark, including large numbers of Song, Field, White-throated, and White-crowned sparrows. (The others were Chipping, Savannah, Swamp, Lincoln's, Fox, and Juncos.) It's definitely sparrow time now.
