Little Blue Heron: One was at Hueston Woods State Park on the 28th.
GLOSSY IBIS: Two arrived at Mill Creek Wildlife Sanctuary, Mahoning County, on
the 4th. To arrange access to the sanctuary, email Bill Jones ([log in to unmask]).
Marbled Godwit: One was lingering on the eastern shore of the Hoover Reservoir
Nature Preserve, Delaware County, on the 1st.
Western Sandpiper: John Pogacnik had two at Conneaut on the 28th.
Red Phalarope: John Pogacnik had one at Conneaut on the 28th.
Laughing Gull: One was still being seen on the swimming beach at Pleasant Hill
Lake, Richland County, through the 27th.
Little gull: One remained on the swimming beach at Headlands Beach State Park on
the 29th.
Golden-winged Warbler: Robert Jackson saw two in a in downtown Cleveland
cemetery across from Progressive Field on the 29th.
Connecticut Warbler: On the 29th one was seen on private property in Ashtabula
County and another on private property in Cleremont County.
Nelson’s Sharp-tailed Sparrow: Andy Bass found one at Miami Whitewater Wetlands,
Hamilton County, on the 27th (“Walk the hedgerow until you get to the dike that
goes to the viewing blind, the bird was seen right there”). David Brinkman found
one in the same park the next day ((“north of farm road near the bat house”).
Jen Brumfield saw one at West Creek Reservation, Cuyahoga County, on the 1st,
and multiple observers reported them from the old Richfield Coliseum site from
the 2nd to the 4th. The coliseum site is in Summit County on Rt. 303 just west
of the I-270 interchange.
