Hey all -

Jen Brumfield discovered a NELSON'S SHARP-TAILED SPARROW at West Creek Reservation (Cuyahoga Co) around 11, this morning.  See her original post here: http://rarebird.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3497

I was able to relocate the bird around 3 PM, in the southeast corner of the large, grassy former Parma Landfill (in the unmowed area).  Though quite the skulker, it reluctantly offered me a couple of breathtaking views.  This bird comes exactly five years after the last West Creek sharp-tailed (10/1/2003).  If this continues to hold true, then 23 Oct will bring a LeConte's...!

For those of you having trouble viewing the photos, the listserve sometimes replaces the 'at' symbol in the url, with the word AT.  Switching it back sould solve the problem.
