Walking this pm at my parents farm, I saw a bird that had a definite white eyebrow, short straight beak, some streaking on sides and breasts with some tannish brown wash on the sides. It continually flipped its tail. At first, I thought it was a red eyed vireo, but they have no streaking. The other bird that I could find in the bird books was a waterthrush. It was feeding in short trees in a brushy area in a field that has been allowed to just go back to nature with a lot of golden rood, etc. I didn't think the streaking on my bird was as defined as the streaking on either waterthrush should be. THe only yellow I could find was maybe a little wash under the tail/rear area. Are waterthrushes coming south now? Thanks for any ideas.
Other birds seen/heard:
wh. br. nuthatch
bluejays
C. chickadees
yellowrump warblers
chipping sparrows
song sparrow
starlings
killdeer
red belly woodpeckers
