This morning about 9am a handful of birders enjoyed two Snowy Owls (a dark
immature near gate 9 and a mostly white bird near gate 12), both sitting on
the ground, a Northern Harrier working the Phragmites in the distance and
two Peregrine Falcons (just west of Gate 12). One of the falcons was eating
a bird!
The Harlequin Duck was still at E. 72nd street, just west of the warm-water
release from the power plant.
Good Birding,
Matt Valencic
