I've not been out birding in quite some time with the busyness of
work and home but given the reliability of Merlins being present at
St. Joseph's Cemetery on this same date in several past years, I
decided to use my lunch to do a search.

At Old St. Joseph's, a female Merlin was present at its usual snag
perch in the SW corner. Then I drove down 8th Street to New St.
Joseph's Cemetery about a mile away and found a male Merlin perched
on the outer edge of a large tree in the NE corner. A rewarding lunch!

At one point last year at Old St. Joseph's Cemetery, I had three
Merlins in sight at the same time (2 females, 1 male) and had a brief
look at another suspected male a minute later.
