Hey all -
Thanks to a timely call from Bret McCarty, I was able
to observe a male HARLEQUIN DUCK at E 72nd St, this
afternoon. The bird was ridiculously cooperative -

If the addy doesn't work, replace the 'at' with the
'at sign.' Thanks, Bret!
Many marvelous birds were observed at HBSP, this
morning. I was a bit of a late arrival, but I was
able to observe first and second-yr LITTLE GULLS from
the lighthouse pier. There are still MANY, MANY
Bonaparte's Gulls at the river mouth and beyond. A
close flyby Surf Scoter was another highlight.
Good birding -
