Here are today’s highlights along the lakefront so far. Thanks to Gabe Leidy and Jen Brumfield for calling about the Jaeger and Long-tailed Duck. Gabe and Jen are still getting good birds out there and will probably post later…
 
Headlands
Franklin’s Gull – 1 (working same spot 20 ft. west of far breakwall)
Little Gull – 2 (seen before I got there)
Black-headed Gull – 2 (seen before I got there)
 
East 72nd St.
Harlequin Duck – 1 (west of bridge)
Lesser Black-backed Gull – 1
 
Burke
Snowy Owl – 2 (gates 9 and 12)
 
Perkins Park (west of Edgewater)
Pomarine Jaeger – 1 (very far out near a red platform; actually landed on the water before I left)
Long-tailed Duck – 1 (near the docks)
