Just some observations from home/driving front yesterday and today.

At the feeder today there have been titmice and chickadees flying in and out. My resident nuthatch has been making his daily jaunt to the feeder. No downys for the past couple of days..but that was probably because my suet feeder was empty. :-)
____

I was driving to work over at East Liberty yesterday by way of Kenton Wal-Mart, which is a long way to go but when you need gas and that is the closest place...well I needed suet anyways. Anyhew, On Wildcat Pike I saw a Kestrel sitting on the power wires about one every mile to mile and a half. for a total of seven. Once I got close to Kenton, they disapeared.
____

While going down Hwy 175, I saw my first non redtailed hawk, hawk. :-) I think it was a Coopers. It was in a semi rual/urban setting and was perched about 20 feet up in a tree. I would have gotten it's picture for positive ID later but as I headed back to where it was, the owner of the house where the tree was located, came out with her dogs, oh well. It was bigger than a kestrel but smaller than a Red tailed. It's tail was rather long, a little bit longer than half of it's body length. It's head and legs were to far away to see clearly without aid of optic instruments...and I don't think I wanted to have a pair of Binocs out while I was driving anyways. :-)
___

As I was Traveling down 292 towards East Liberty I saw only a couple of Kestrels near Kenton and none after the Coondog Trials place (Lawrence Woods). As I was passing The Coondog Run place I spotted a Male Turkey behind the fence.

......Just as I was about ready to add my sig line, I looked out one more time to my feeders and saw two Brown Creepers. They were with the Chickadees...Another first for my feeder area. Whohoo!!

I'm going to try and get some pics before I go to work.

Now before anythinig new comes to my feeders....

Happy Birding and God Bless
