jerry talkington just called and reported three (3) parasitic and one (1) pomarine jaeger off sunset park in willoughby at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon (11/15/2008). the four jaegers were milling about together out over the lake. the passage of a cold front at this very hour with attendant high winds and rain is stirring up activity along the lake erie shore. with 5 jaegers at lorain recently and jerry's 4 birds today my comment a few days ago about a minor invasion of jaegers along lake erie may need to be revised upward. some lake effect snow is expected overnight and tomorrow so travel in northern ohio may be tricky. be careful if you want to come north to try to locate any jaegers.
