A nasty morning on the lakefront yielded a few nice surpises while
walking around the impoundment. The gulls were out a couple hundred yards
from the breakwall and mostly flying east to west. A duck hunter in a motor
boat kept it a mostly duck free zone. Most of the sparrows were observed
on the trail, on the west side of the impoundment.
