We did our monthly bird count today.  Thanks to Dan & Barb Meyers for
helping out.   Our next count is scheduled for Dec. 17 beginning at 8
am. 
The following birds were seen today:

Great Blue Heron,  Black-crowned Night Heron, Tundra Swans, Trumpeter
Swans, Canada Goose, Mallard, Black Duck, Gadwall, GW Teal, N. Shoveler,
Red Tailed Hawk, Coopers Hawk, Bald Eagle, Ring-billed gull, Mourning
Dove, Great Horned Owl, Red-bellied woodpecker, Downy, Hairy Blue Jay,
A. Crow, BC Chickadee, WB Nuthatch, Brown Creeper, Winter Wren, Carolina
Wren, A. Robin, Hermit Thrush, Golden-crowned kinglet, E. Starling,
Yellow-rumped warbler, rusty blackbird, n. cardinal, A. tree Sparrow,
Junco, A. Goldfinch and House Sparrow. 

Join us at the Bird Center on Nov. 30 for Wooden Feather Day from noon
-4 with a marsh walk at 1:30.
Then come out for our Holiday Open House on Dec. 5 from 4-8 pm to see
the Bird Center all lit up.  Unique items for sale, great food, live
music, and free gift wrapping!
