Regarding the taking of the Harlequin Duck.
Please refer to the Ohio Division of Wildlife hunting regulations online at
www.ohiodnr.com/wildlife/dow/regulations/seasons

Bag limits of ducks are six (4 mallards, only 1 hen, 3 wood ducks, 1 black
duck, 2 redheads, 3 mottled, 1 pintail) No canvasbacks may be taken.

There is no law broken by this hunter. He purchased a hunting license,
conservation stamp, duck stamp.
And there is no "law" against shooting birds on the ground or water.

Sorry guys, this hunter didn't break any laws.

How many of us birders have purchased a wetland stamp or federal duck stamp
which supports the areas we birders love to visit.
I have wanted to see a Harlequin duck for so long - just which I would have
been able to take a photo prior to his shot.
