Susan Ruth Marengo [log in to unmask] asked me to forward this news:

Just had a flock of 10-15 white winged cross bills descend on my hemlock
tree in the back yard in the middle of ultra-suburbia Cleveland Heights.
Very tame, very entertaining and quite beautiful. Hopefully the
little beggers will not descend to the ground-- my cats have their own
"bird list" with 11 species.

Hope your Thanksgiving table was laden with food and crowded with guests
