Greetings birders-

A single RED CROSSBILL flew over my Medina Co. (technically border of Medina & Summit Counties) house around 9:30 am this morning. ID based almost solely on flight call but also supported by finch-like flight and wholesomely-plain yellowish-greenish coloration. Bird was flying due south. Good movement of other species including Eastern Bluebird (4 different flocks totalling 16 birds), robins, blackbirds, goldfinches, and waxwings. A single Yellow-bellied Sapsucker joined a loud group of jays/crows/titmice/woodpeckers apparently harassing a raptor in the backyard.

Listen for those flyovers! Best way to zero in on the siskin flight we're having.

best of birding -
Jen
