To add to the reports, here's one from a hunter/birder who lives in Holmes County. On Monday, after shooting a doe early, the then-birder watched 40 White-winged Crossbills feeding and flying around the area. The birds were seen 3-4 times during the day, but we could not re-locate them today (Wed). The location is between Sugarcreek and Dover in Tuscarawas County.
Not far away, one White-winged was seen near Baltic on Tuesday.
