We had our Clark County CBC on Friday, December 19. The weather was
rainy most of the day but rather warm. We did have some interesting
sightings though. At the north end of the lake at Buck Creek State Park
Julie Karlson and I saw a Lesser Black-backed Gull. There were 4
Cackling Geese at a gravel pit near the Clark County Fairgrounds.
Cackling Geese have also been seen at Old Reid Park. We had a Gray
Catbird and a Pine Siskin. We ended up with 61 species and over 28,000
birds, most of which were crows. The crow roost is still downtown
Springfield and quite interesting to see. The complete results of our
CBC are on our website at www.clarkcountyohioaudubon.org.
