Just walked outside my house here in Perry County, South of Somerset, and
heard an unusual sound. Looked up and saw about 100 Tundra Swans flying high
overhead from west to east. Didn't understand the west to east part until I
noticed a bumper sticker on one of the last ones that I think said "The
Wilds or Bust". That was the general direction they were heading. They
flew directly over St. Joe's Lake and the V broke up, but I don't think they
landed. Will go check.
Closer to earth, I've had two brown creepers at the suet feeder and a
Golden Crowned kinglet in the yard, not the mention the ever present Cedar
waxwings feeding on the crab trees.
