Greater White-fronted Goose: Rick Asamoto and Shane Egleston reported
that four were in a field west of West Carrolton on Farmersville-West
Carrollton Rd on the 22nd. Eddie Ehrman reported two at the IKEA pond on
the 23rd. This pond is located just off I-75 one exit north of I-275.

Snow Goose: Jack Stenger found 38 in a borrow pit in Fayette County
along I-71 (exit 67) on the 19th. Jay Lehman reported two at the Melvin
Quarry on the 21st. Bob Foppe reported that four were found during the
Hamilton/Fairfield CBC on the 20th. Rick Asamoto and Shane Egleston
found one in a corn stubble field just west of West Carrollton on the
22nd.

Ross's Goose: On the 20th Allan Claybon found the Snow Geese first found
by Jack Stenger on the 19th. He took some photos which he posted. Jay
Stenger noticed that one of the geese was a Ross's mixed in with the
flock of Snow Geese. Usually reported as single birds, Jay Lehman found
seven on the 21st at the Melvin Quarry just north of Wilmington. Bob
Foppe reported that Bill Doss found one on Hess Rd in Brown County on
the 21st.

Brant: A casual migrant in winter Bob and Denise Lane found 11 flying
southwest along the Ohio River during the Beaver Creek CBC on the 20th.

Cackling Goose: Four were reported by Doug Overacker at the Clark County
CBC on the 19th at a gravel pit near the Clark County Fairgrounds.
Additional cacklers were also found at Old Reid Park near Buck Creek SP.
Rick Asamoto and Shane Egleston reported two on the 22nd in West
Carrollton.

Long-tailed Duck: Jay Lehman saw two at the Gordon Park Marina on the
20th and Bill Fissell saw three there on the 21st.

Red-throated Loon: Rick Asamoto found one off of Harveysburg Rd at
Caesar Creek SP on the 19th.

Northern Goshawk: One was reported in Van Buren SP during the Hancock
County CBC on the 20th.

Little Gull: Two adults were seen by John Pogacnik on the 21st.

BLACK-HEADED GULL: Rob Lowry located one at E. 72nd St on the 20th.

Thayer's Gull: Gabe Leidy and Emil Bacik reported four from E. 72nd St
on the 21st. Three of the gulls were first-cycle birds.

Iceland Gull: On the 20th John Beatty found one immature bird at E. 72nd
St. On the 21st Gabe Leidy reported four with all age classes
represented from the same location.

Lesser Black-backed Gull: Very rare inland Doug Overacker and Julie
Karlson reported one found at Buck Creek SP on the 19th during the Clark
County CBC.

Glaucous Gull: On the 19th Craig Caldwell reported one at Avon Lake.
John Pogacnik saw one first year bird on the 21st.

Pomarine Jaeger: Craig Caldwell reported the immature bird was still
present at Avon Lake on the 19th. Bret McCarty reported one at Avon Lake
and another immature at Rocky River on the 21st.

Purple Sandpiper: John Pogacnik saw two flying west during his Lakeshore
Waterbird Survey in Lake County on the 21st.

Northern Saw-whet Owl: Craig Caldwell located on at Gordon Park on the
19th. The bird was in a little Scots Pine on the right as you enter the
parking lot to the Rangers Station.

Northern Shrike: Robert Jackson relocated the shrike found at Jaite
Marsh in the CVNP on the 20th. Chris Knoll reported that one was making
passes at the feeder at Black Swamp Bird Observatory on the 20th.

Black-throated Blue Warbler: Shari Jackson reports that the bird that
first appeared at the feeders of the Thomas' residence on December 6th
was still present through the reporting period.

Brewer's Blackbird: Matt Anderson had a Brewer's Blackbird coming to his
feeders in Whitehouse just south of Oak Openings.

Baltimore Oriole: An adult eating chunked pineapple at the home of Becky
Schmitt in Worthington was reported by Jim McCormac on the 21st.

Common Redpoll: John Pogacnik had one at his feeder in Lake County on
the morning of the 21st.
