The Christmas Bird Count for Fremont, Ohio, originally scheduled for Dec. 21
and then postponed because of extreme weather, has been rescheduled for
January 3. This count circle includes a varied mix of habitats and always

observed a Northern Gannet flying over an area of cornfields well south of
the lake. Count compiler and organizer John Sawvel won't promise another
gannet, but, you never know ... For more details, go to the Black Swamp Bird
Observatory website at http://www.bsbobird.org/
