Greetings.
We line our driveway in the winter months with shepherd hooks and
bird feeders. It serves two purposes. In a deep snow we can find the
road and we can watch the birds during the day. Apparently it also
serves a third purpose which is to supply the resident screech owl
with a buffet of woodland night feeders. That should be a good
enough reason to stay around for the CBC
Although we've seen the owl in our nest box, last evening was the
first time we've seen it hunting. Beautiful long legs as it clutched
the limb before it took off. Bon Appetit!
Happy Birding in Wakeman
