Blendon Woods is located in the northeast corner of Columbus off of I270
& Rte 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit
A female Dickcissel was first seen at the Nature Center Bird
Viewing Area on December 14th around 8:00am. Since then the female
Dickcissel has been seen at a feeder or on the ground eating seeds on
various days. It was last seen yesterday(Dec 27th) at 4:46pm
Other Birds seen lately at Blendon Woods.
Gadwall-male,female
American Coot
Cooper's Hawk
Red-shouldered Hawk
Red-tailed Hawk
Pileated Woodpecker
Red-headed Woodpeccker
Wild Turkeys-up to 25 have been seen in one group
Barred Owl
Great Horned Owl-pair-across from the East Blind
E Towhee
Blendon Woods
