At 9:00 this morning there were 17 White-fronted Geese on the lake at
Foundation Park in Mount Vernon, Ohio (Knox County). They were mixed in with
several thousand Canada geese, mallards, and a few ringnecks. The
White-fronts took flight at 9:45 am and were last seen flying in a westerly
direction. In the bright morning sun their pink bills were conspicuous. The
entrance to Foundation Park is off Columbus Ave. just southwest of Mount
Vernon's downtown area.
