I visited some sites in eastern Mahoning Co. this morning.  Evans L. was only partly frozen, but held only a small number of ducks, including Am. black duck, 3 buffleheads, 8 c. goldeneyes, 20 hooded mergansers, and a red-breasted merganser.  Pine L. was mostly open, but had only 300 Canada geese, mallards, Am. black duck, 5 n. pintails, and 3 hooded mergansers.  Around the shore I found bald eagle, belted kingfisher, 2 n. flickers, a yellow-rumped warbler, and Am. tree sparrows.  In Beaver Twp. were 7 gadwalls, green-winged teal, bald eagle, Am. kestrel, and 4 white-crowned sparrows.  Back home in Poland Twp., a nice-sized flock of 55 wild turkeys visited my back yard.  Later, Craig
