Tom Archdeacon, Blake Mathys, and I made a trip to Killdeer Plains W.A.
today. It was windy and cold, but we were rewarded with good close looks at
~10 LAPLAND LONGSPURS and a single immature GOLDEN EAGLE. It was
interacting with bald eagles in the area of large impoundments north of
CH-68. For diagnostic video grabs, visit Blake Mathys' website at
http://blakemathys.tripod.com/golden.html

Good birding,

John
