Tundra Swans are showing up again at the shallow waters on the south side of
Perry's Victory. There were approximately 50 last night with 65 reported
last week by Annie Parker. Large flocks of Scaup (those close up appeared to
be Lesser) with smaller numbers of Bufflehead are showing up around the
island. Scaup, Bufflehead, Mallards, Canada Geese were all together feeding
near Alligator Bar in the Bay. A Hooded Merganser female was cruising the
village docks. Four Great Blue Herons were in Terwilligers Pond. No ice here
yet last night but it is coming soon!
