A brief visit to the Oak Hill cemetery in Upper Sandusky this evening turned up 2 flyover RED CROSSBILLS that couldn't be re-located within the cemetery.

22 WHITE WINGED CROSSBILLS were still there, a 50-50 mix of males and females. They were first found low in a hemlock 10 feet from where I was standing. As I moved closer to get a better view of them, an incredible event took place. They all landed virtualy at my feet and starting eatting snow! They were no more than 5 feet from me and payed no attention to me. What a unbelievable crossbill flight so far this fall.
