While birding the Hike/Bike Trail in northern Summit County, just north of
Route 82, I had a Merlin perched in the first copse of trees on the west
side of the trail. First time I've seen that species in this location.

Another bird of note is the continuing presence of a Northern Mockingbird in
this same area.

Along with these two I had:
American Tree Sparrow
Field Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Eastern Blue Bird
Dark-eyed Junco
White-throated Sparrow
Carolina Wren
Northern Cardinal

Nice color on a blustery winter day.
