Greetings birders -
I visited the Harriet Keeler Memorial in Brecksville Reservation (Cleveland Metroparks) this morning. There is a nice patch of spruces, hemlocks, and sweetgum here. For the past week at least 30-40 siskins have frequented the area. Today, a flock of 30+ Pine Siskins was accompanied by 1 Common Redpoll. Two White-winged Crossbills flew over, heading south, calling loudly. The Harriet Keeler Memorial is a short walk to the west of the nature center. The feeders at the nature center are stocked regularly; a few siskins have visited.
